Don't know what came over me, but earlier I was thinking about how I should start using NAK in regular conversations. "In binary synchronous communication protocol, the NAK is used to indicate that an error was detected in the previously received block and that the receiver is ready to accept retransmission of that block." So it would go something like this:

*mumble* *mumble* *mumble*
NAK?
I said, "Are you going to go to the store today?"

I don't know what, but it really made me giggle.
