On the Subject of Clean Clothes...

When I moved in here last May, there was a working washer, but the dryer was out in the back house covered in dirt and other undesireable things, so it didn't get used. For months we had to hang clothes out to dry. A couple months ago, the washer died on me. I'd gotten an electric dryer from someone for free, but I didn't have a 220 outlet to use for it, and I didn't want to run one myself (I'm still a little afraid of those).

A couple weeks ago, Mike offered me another washer. I finally went and got it earlier this week. It's installed and working. The hot water to it still isn't working, but that's because there's a leak in the line to it that I haven't gotten around to fixing yet.

I finally cleaned up the gas dryer that was in the back house. It is also installed and working, except for the vent hose. I need to go buy a new vent duct and install the outlet for it on the wall. I'd installed the vent outlet by the washer, but unfortunately, the gas hookup is on the other side of the back room, so I have to move it. Hopefully, I'll get that done today. On the brightside, I've got a way to clean clothes, as long as I don't mind the extra humidity from the dryer in the back room (until I get the vent fixed).
